The basic concept of the game is to be dealt cards totaling up to 21. Every player is given two cards. When a gambler is dealt a nine or lower value card and an Ace they have been handed a soft hand. When the black jack player is dealt no Ace cards it is known as a hard hand. As soon as the cards have been given to every player at the blackjack table, including the dealer, each blackjack player is provided the chance to make one of six actions:
Requesting another card (Hit): When a black jack player says "hit" the croupier will give them another card, if the adding of that card causes the value of the hand to exceed twenty-one the blackjack player will have lost and that is the end of the game, if the card pushes the value of the hand to twenty-one the gambler wins and if the value of the hand hasn’t yet achieved twenty-one they’re still in the game.
Keeping the hand you’ve been given: If a blackjack player is happy with the hand they will stand. Once this has happened the croupier will display his/her cards and the player who has accumulated 21 or the nearest to twenty-one will come away with a win.
Doubling Down: A black jack player may request to double down which increases the bet by one hundred percent they have laid. As soon as you have taken this procedure you can only be given 1 additional card. The details of doubling down are usually specified by the blackjack table or betting house game rules so before wagering make certain you’re familiar with the casino rules. If you are gambling at an online betting house this is usually very easy.
Watch for part two.
